Open a web browser and go to www.connectify.me/download-lite (or click the link in the description).
The download will start automatically.
Once downloaded, double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
Carefully read the terms of service ;), click ‘I agree’ to accept them, and start the installation.
Select either ‘Reboot now’, or ‘I want to manually reboot later’, and click ‘Finish’.
You have now installed Connectify Dispatch (which we don’t need for the purposes of this video), and Connectify Hotspot.
Launch Connectify Hotspot.
The ‘Welcome to Connectify’ window is an advertisement for the (paid) full product, which you don’t necessarily need to create a hotspot.
The program is already running. You can find it in the notification tray. Click on the icon to open the program.
Click ‘Start Hotspot’ to start your Wi-Fi hotspot.
Your Wi-Fi hotspot is now running!
If you don’t want to use Connectify Dispatch, I’d recommend disabling startup of this program on login.
To do this, click ‘Settings’, ‘Startup options’, click ‘Yes’ on the popup window, and uncheck ‘Start interface on login (includes tray icon)’
You can do the same for Connectify Hotspot if you’re not going to use it every time you’re going to start your PC.
