Very nice board, happy buyer here 👍
Is $220.00 a good price for a used one?
Awesome video!
Please tell me this motherboard supports ryzen threadripper 2990wx
seriously, they need to stop putting "gaming" in the names of these motherboards. If I'm buying TR and paying the hefty price for one of those motherboards, I want a workstation board with server-grade components, or at least as close as I can get. Who on earth is going to get a 32-core $2000-CPU and throw it in some tacky RGB-ed-out "gaming" motherboard with racing stripes and tribal stickers. WTF is wrong with these manufacturers.
anyone else notice this board has horrible memory timings? even in XMP profiles or not? and everything is fairly locked up on timings? specifically tRC ?
Why the fuck is there a ps2 port?
Do a MSI MEG X399 review and ECC validation pls Wendell 🙂
This or the Asrock Fatal1ty pro gaming?
Please suggest me case for msi x399
No Bullshift straight to the point. Amazing
I hope you let me help, I set up a computer with the same motherboard and processor, along with a 1080i video card, however, when I do a vray rendering, the CPU goes to 100% and ends up freezing a screen. Another point would be a classification of the processor without lumion program, staying down there. What is the maximum processor performance is at 85%. Even so, it does not show the expected performance, do you know what to say?
Pity that Wendell never responds to his comments 🙁 How about actually giving some more info on the IOMMU. You said in recent video this board is "pretty good" but dont explain if the IOMMU groupings are improved. Can you pass through the USB controller from Group 13 (8m47s)? Do the PCIEx1 slots appear in their own groups (or lumped together) – I'd like to passthrough several GPUs and USB cards. What exactly do the new BIOS Eric from MSI provided give you?
@6:23 i really wish you zoomed out some because i need to know if all those pcie slots have all 16x lanes soldered to the board or if one or more are just 4x in disguise.
Holy shit, the best Review I've seen anywhere !!!!!
I want this or threadripper 2.0
does the motherboard come with ethernet ???
I have 3000Mhz Corsair LPX 2×4 ram and it is not posting or even booting would that be an issue. Since it doesn't technically say that it supports 3000Mhz ram.
Can you test and review the ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme x399 ? 🙂
Tell me please why the connector is 6 pins around the PCI and left slots of RAM
How does this setup fare on Linux?
For some reason i miss a lot of these bios settings like Fan policy shown at 11:41. I tried the official 140 bios and the beta 147 bios. Also i dont get the fan curves. Sometimes the fan is exactly on the line and after some adjustments its off the calibrated line. Often i stays at the lowest speed and skips a complete part/knob of the curve.
like the way each connector or item on system board is highlighted
